GNIM has been instrumental in giving a kick-start to my career and thereof boosting
it to a professional environment of Indian Job Market. The college and the faculty
has furnished a full fledged support in whatever way it could and even in all the
initiatives taken by us. This was more than what we could have expected from a college
for its student fraternity. The employers nowadays are looking for candidates with
positive attitude and aptitude rather than big names in the background. What matters
is 'How you do it' rather than 'What you do'. So just pull up your
socks and get ready to face the world with confidence. Presentability and communication
skills always give a helping hand in whatever you do.

“ First Job is to Learn and not
Earn ” so growth possibilities and career interest should be prioritized over Money.
I have experienced this and that’s why I wanted to pass on this message to you all.
I know that the very first day a student enters a PGDM/MBA College, he/she starts
dreaming about a managerial role and a handsome salary package. However one should
understand that in order to be a master of a game one should know “What not to do”
along with “What to do”. One should always start his/her career from the basic and
once foundation is strong, you can build as tall a building as you want i.e.
you can grow as much as you aspire.
Wishing all the students and the
stakeholders of GNIM – All the Best.

“Education is what transforms the life from dull lead to dazzling gold which not
only shines in itself but brightens the beholder too…” Life at GNIM was filled with
learning and fun. Knowing is not enough, applying what you know is more important.
So, today as a Public Relations incharge, if I’m appreciated for my PR skills then
I am only trying to apply the learning & the confidence that I gained in this
very renowned institution. I consider it God’s grace that I spent my time at GNIM
where I received every possible kind of encouragement and learning to develop my
talent

I would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to the GNIM Staff. I have grown in many ways here and will always
treasure the opportunities provided to me by GNIM. While I will miss you all here
at GNIM, but I feel that it is time for a new challenge and experience. I want to
thank you for your love, affection, support, guidance and for all you have done
for me here at GNIM. It’s really been a pleasure to be with such a good institute.
To my Faculty: I thank you for the initial effort that you had put-in to assess
my capabilities and for assigning me tasks which matched my strengths. You have
always been a source of encouragement but your greatest professional trait has been
your ability to convey your point at times when I erred. I thank all the staff members
of GNIM for their support and the cooperation that they have extended to me during
my tenure at GNIM.
This is the time to say something about my institute as they have given me such
a dream platform on which my career line is going up & up, and now I have completed
successfully 3+ years with NDPL.

My tenure at college was one of the most informative periods of my life. I got lot
of valuable inputs from the faculty & visiting staff. We really got a deep insight
into the corporate world, its processes & mannerism. This was a platform that
elevated us from being naïve graduates to industry ready post graduate.

I passed out from GNIM in 1999. Lot of my batch mates have since then made a very
good name for themselves and attained a high management profile in their respective
industry.I started my career in the field of IT and then shifted on to telecom.
I am currently with Idea Cellular heading Punjab, HP and J&k with headquarter
at Chandigarh.
My thoughts
- There is no substitute for hard work. Always be open to learning. Ask questions,
clear your doubts.
- Combine your classroom learning with learning from interacting with people.
- Focus on your goal and ensure you are reminded of the same periodically

All the best guys!!!..you are going to enter in the corporate environment. Start your
career with Positive Attitude and sky is the limit. “The world will not belong to
'managers' or those who can make the numbers dance. The world will belong
to passion driven leaders – people who not only have enormous amounts of energy
but who can energize those whom they lead.”

In every person's life this moment comes when he steps into another world altogether
different from his college days. Time always flies, so is life. Today when I was
asked to share my experience, I was mesmerized with my old college days memories
when I cleared my entrance exams and was assigned GNIM . Since I was a part of the
first batch hence everything was at a very budding stage. Slowly and slowly things
changed and today I feel very proud when I see the institute’s achievements. All
the best to the entire batch. Soon you will be a part of big corporate world which
every MBA student dreams of .............In life I've discovered that my purpose
is to do best to my utmost ability everyday. Everyday is a beginning of a new experience.
Have positive and high thinking, keep feet firm on ground and then sky is your limit.

Hey there and thank you for giving me the opportunity of reconnecting with GNIM!
Each time we visit our institute we hope that we will learn something new about
the College, our former classmates, faculty and staff. The one thing I would like
for you to learn now is that GNIM is hard at work to not only meet the needs of
its students but also its alumni, the faculty and the staff. The management is always
ready to create new and relevant programs to attract good placements and learning
for the students of GNIM. The placement and alumni office is hard at work hosting
events around the country to honor and reconnect alumni with one another. There
has never been a better time to get more involved with your fellow alumni, I promise
you. As your Alumni, I have the honor of representing my voice to the existing students
of GNIM. During a recent get together and meeting with the faculty and the staff
I came to remember why I so enjoyed my years at Wesleyan. It was (and is) the sense
of “family.” I felt connected and welcome. I think many of you remember this feeling
as well.
The College has a lot going on right now and it is my hope that you will
reconnect with your classmates as well as the faculty and staff at our alma mater.
They need you, all of them. The last couple of years have been hard on many of us
for a multitude of reasons. It is through the many friendships and experiences we
shared at GNIM that we can navigate some of these tough times we face. When we come
together, we can do anything. I would like to offer a special thanks to those who
continue to spend their time, treasure and talent to advance our institute. We appreciate
you more than you know. Lastly, thanks to all the students and members of the institute
for your support and guidance for all these years.
