Guest lectures are an important
part of the course outline. GNIM invites industry professionals from various sectors
to deliver the lectures to the students and appraise them with practical knowledge.
This is an interactive program wherein the students body is enriched with experience
of the guest faculty, whi ch i s helpful in better understanding of corporate world.

Workshop on “FINANCIAL MODELING USING MS EXCEL”
|

Workshop on “FINANCIAL MODELING
USING MS EXCEL” was conducted by CA Pankaj Goel on 11th
and
15th March 2011
. Mr Goel, A faculty at SRCC,
Delhi
University
, is also involved in various consultancy projects with World Bank and other
corporate houses. The workshop was attended by PGDM Finance students and they
were thoroughly trained on “How to use excel for financial modeling for loan scheduling
and garbage cleaning problems”.

Workshop on “ACE Equity”
|
|
|
A Workshop on “ACE Equity” was organized on
10th and
16th March 2011
in the campus. The workshop was delivered by Mr. Vikas Vardhan, Technical Expert
from Accord Fintech. ACE equity, the Accord Fintech Database, contains
data on Indian Economy and 17,500 (approx.) Indian companies, both listed and unlisted.
Mr. Vardhan explained important features like selecting a company and extracting
its financials, importing the text, graphs and tables to excel, generating reports
etc. He also discussed Query and active Excel features of ACE Equity
in detail.

IT Club WorkShop
|
|
|
The workshop was organized by the IT club on
8th March, 2011. The topic of the
workshop was “Decision Support System” for the practical awareness related to
corporate world. The activity was conducted for PGDM II Semester Section – B.
Through this workshop students learned the terms and technologies implemented in
the companies to become a good problem solver and team leader.

Animation through Maya

“Animation through MAYA”
held on
Thursday, 17th February, 2011
by Mr. R Rama Kishore (Asst. Professor & TPO,
University School of Information Technology, G.G.S. Indraprastha University).
Mr. R Rama Kishore showed us the animation technology based on MAYA software, how
to work on MAYA and how to create Moving images. He also told us about the graphics,
how to use the graphics and how this can be helpful in the animation career.

Dot Net Technologies
|

Workshop on Dot
Net to be incoperate in the Summer training for the MCA students took place in the
college itself. Students were trained on the “DOT Net “ by Ducat Training Institute,
Noida. Expert trainers from the authorized training institutes conducted
the training. It surely enhanced the knowledge of the students as well as made
them confident to make real life project.
